In France, macarons are a way of life. At the famed Fauchon at Place de la Madeleine, the colorful little cloud-like cakes are wrapped oh-so perfectly Parisian. Saving us the trip is Opera Patisserie, the new patisserie Downtown, coutesy of Strasbourg-born, French-trained chef Thierry Cahez (previously of Paradise Point). Available in cappuccino, chocolate, pistachio and seasonal flavors, they are also served at La Costa Resort abd Mandalay Bay.
